My Fellow Americans…

I was told by a wise person many years ago that you learn something new everyday. Today was no exception.

I learned all about “Chavs” today. What is a “chav”, you ask?

“Chavs” are the English equilivilent of a “hoochie mama” or “white trash”.

“Chavs” are also called Neds, Townies, Kevs, Charvers, Steeks, Spides, Bazzas, Yarcos, Ratboys, Kappa Slappers, Skangers, Scutters, Janners, Stigs, Scallies and Hood Rats.

Sigh…So many names…

There are also ABSO kids in England. This is very similar to the “ghetto” or “delinquent” lifestyle we have here in the USA. More on ABSO’s later.

For now, brush up on your Queens’ English and have a gander at this pic.
