Wedding Cheap: Bride Pays Less Than £1 For Her Bridal Gown

There’s a great story across the pond that I thought I would share.

Every bride-to-be loves a bargain, but this one kinda takes the cake…The wedding cake,  that is.

We think the dress is quite the look. Nice bargain hunting!

A bride who couldn’t afford her dream £700 wedding dress bought a gown from eBay instead for just 99p.  [About a $1.65 US]

Natalie Mapletoft, 30, said despite the dress costing less than £1 she felt like a princess in the strapless white gown she had custom-made through the internet auction site.

And when her husband-to-be Lee Mapletoft saw her walking up the aisle he said she looked ‘absolutely gorgeous’.

The new Mrs Mapletoft, née Bellamy, had the dress made for her by a wedding tailor in Hong Kong after spotting the service on eBay and seeing a dress identical to the £700 [About $1160. 00 US]  one she had fallen in love with at a local wedding shop.

Three weeks after sending her measurements to Hong Kong the dress arrived, with added costs of just £87 [About $150.00 US] postage and packaging.
