Seriously On Politics: Limbaugh Leads Listeners By The Nose

May 7, 2008

[Opinions of this post are opinions, which are like noses…we all have one.]

I talk about a myriad of things on this blog.  Very few are political topics.  But, this is worth mentioning.

Maybe I give humanity too much credit.

People are individuals with their own minds, thoughts and lives.

So, when I initially heard that Rush Limbaugh was requesting that his listeners across the country to cross over to vote for Hillary Clinton in the primaries, I thought people wouldn’t comply with his request.

I mean, I have listened to Rush, off and on, for years. (One should keep up with what the other party is doing.) Is Rush Limbaugh a Pied Piper of radio politics? He toots and his listeners follow blindly? Just like that?

The scheme Rush Limbaugh has cooked up is almost beautiful. Voters who would normally vote repulican would cross-over to vote for as a democrat and to specifically vote for Hillary Clinton. Why? The republican party views Hillary as “less” of an opponent for McCain, thus, the republicans would basically rather spar and debate with Hillary than Obama.

I guess the republican party views politically sparring with Obama would be “Mano e Mano” vs. politically sparring with Hillary as “Mano e woman…oh, darn I broke a nail…”

So, the Limbaugh plot is called ‘Operation Chaos’. Did it work?

I think it did…which leads me back to giving humanity too much credit.

Using these tactics to attempt to win the Presidency is shameful, but legal.

It’s sleazy, backdoor politics and morally (not legally) corrupt.

Any political party that has slid down that low on the manipulation pole should get thigh burn…Just like the strippers, boys.

So, the GOP voters may think their little grenades of victory against Obama (i.e. OH, PA and TX) and their “operations” (like the buzzing board game) will yield them a victory.

You just keep leading your listeners to slide down that proverbial pole, Limbaugh. Again, like a bad stripper, there will be thigh burns and empty thongs…In essence, you’ll have nothing to show for the wasted effort other than the ability to lead your listeners by the nose…

Hey, tell them all I have a couple of bridges for sale, too!

By the way, you probably think I am an Obama supporter or am I a Clinton supporter?  The fact is, this piece is not about who “I” vote for.  Just voicing my voice!

Seriously McmIllan she so ghetto rush limbaugh cnn

How big of an impact did Rush Limbaugh’s ‘Operation Chaos’ have in Indiana? Did GOP voters really cross over to create havoc in the Democratic primary by voting for Hillary Clinton, as he’d asked his listeners to do?

For whatever reason, self-identified conservative voters did overwhelmingly support Clinton – two out of three cast their votes for the New York senator.

Yet another reason why i don’t vote. Voting is an absurd waste of time.
