Making Movies: The A-Team Is Headed For The Big Screen

October 2, 2009

I guess it’s a case of tag, you’re it!

Next up is the A-Team for your tv-to-movie entertaiment.

I am not mad at the cast at all.

It looks great and gives some new-comers a shot, as well as reeling in some classic talent.

I am so glad that this guy is getting a shot at the role.  B.A. Baracus was the glue that held the show together.

He was the tough and mighty bridge bewteen Hannibal and Face.  (George Peppard and Dirk Benedict, respectively)

The role was originally played by the awesome when he’s good and better when he’s bad, Mr. T.

Mr. T  also landed a role that plucked him out of obsurity and into infamy when he played Clubber Land in Rocky 3.

Mr. T has spoken publically about how he had to borrow the money to go on the audition for Clubber Lang.  It was money well borrowed.

First look: The cast of the remake of the big screen version of The A-Team were seen together filming for the first time in Vancouver. From left, Quinton Jackson (B.A Baracus)  Liam Neeson (Hannibal), Sharlto Copley (Murdock) and Bradley Cooper (Faceman)

South African actor and District 9 star Sharlto Copley, 35, is Capt. Murdock, taking the role from Dwight Schultz. And UFC fighter Quinton Jackson plays kid’s favourite B.A. Baracus, taking on Mr T’s role.

Quinton Jackson in particular has been scrutinized, primarily by his UFC fans for retiring from the sport to pursue his acting career.
